With tones of both rebellious and calming principals, it was long overdue for a serious, bold color to take center stage. Not only will this lavender hue will have you channeling your inner royal (purple has always been a color reserved for royalty!), but Leatrice Eiseman, Executive Director of the Pantone Color Institute, said that the bright shade “communicates originality, ingenuity, and visionary thinking.”Not only does this hint at our own complex times, but the color picks up on things even more grand-scale thinking that will continue to inspire the passion to find or create a world beyond our very own. Even design houses like Gucci, Lowe, La Perla, and Rochas sent down looks on their S/S’18 runway trailblazing in the year’s newest highlighter.
